Primary Responsibilities

To assist in the design of research studies and to analyse and interpret the output, recommend appropriate analysis techniques and explain them clearly to researchers and clients. Provide input to sales proposals and participate in client presentations and workshops when required.

The Role

We are looking for someone with knowledge of multivariate analysis techniques including factor analysis, cluster analysis, and conjoint techniques and their applications in order to support traditional research projects.  This experience should ideally have been obtained in a market research agency.

The candidate must also have an interest in developing analysis techniques associated with new methods of data collection such as social media, and an interest in the applications of new technologies to marketing.

In line with the objective of raising the industry profile of TNS Marketing Science, a willingness to write papers for publication and/or presentation would be a distinct advantage.

Experience and Skills Required


  • Bachelors or masters in Industrial Engineering or Statistics
  • Experience of quantitative research
  • Understanding of multivariate statistical techniques, such as Factor analysis, cluster analysis, conjoint techniques, driver analysis, ANOVA
  • Data analysis skills, preferably SPSS (although SAS or R considered)
  • Excellent communication skills and experience of presenting
  • A flexible approach to work with an ability to manage several tasks concurrently, work under pressure, and react positively as requirements change and develop.
  • Creativity in approach to problem solving
  • Ability and willingness to take ownership and responsibility for tasks within remit
  • A desire for continued professional development evidenced by keeping abreast of the latest techniques and software


  • Willingness to write papers for publication and/or presentation would be a distinct advantage
  • Knowledge of Iranian Market would be an advantage
  • Experience of analyzing data from social media

 Expectations and Overall Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with clients and facilitate client relations, provide highest level of client service
  • Regular client contact including participation of client meetings
  • Contribute in project design, proposal writing, planning and research analysis on research projects
  • Plan and work closely with Project Services team to execute research projects with some supervision
  • Quality control of data
  • Provide administrative support to the team
  • Actively seek learning opportunities, take every opportunity to develop self, through formal and informal training or learning
